Sewing Projects

Sewing Projects

I have been working on some pacifier holders like these.  I am hoping to sell them to a few consignment shops as well as to individuals. Hopefully it will be a little shot in the arm for the homestead budget.

Also I have been working on how to reuse/recycle chicken feed bags. This is the idea I have come up with. They start out life like this.

And end up like this.

  1. Can you tell a little more about the feed sack totes? Are they paper bags or the woven plastic? What is the handle made of? Are they lined? I'd love some details!

    Thanks,

    1. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. Life got in the way and got hectic. The bags are a weird hybrid of paper and plastic. They feel like paper on the outside but plastic on the inside. For the handle I just folded a long piece of the bag fabric into thirds and sewed down the middle. They are not lined but I did make one that had a more square bottom so it will set upright.
